Design by Temple partnered with National Theatre Food & Drink and KERB to reimagine The Understudy, transforming it from a craft beer bar into a modern, inclusive, and sustainable cultural hub on London’s South Bank. The new identity blends the warmth of a British pub with the creative energy of the National Theatre, celebrating connection, community, and theatre-inspired storytelling through typography, colour, and photography. The result is a bold yet welcoming brand that reflects both its heritage and its future, a true extension of the National Theatre’s creative spirit.
