For GLASS / VO2 / Sea Change, Temple directed the bespoke design of the latest edition of the independent GLASS surf art book series.
The publication explores change within surfing, spanning the cultural, aesthetic, political, and personal. More than 40 international photographers, filmmakers, writers, and artists contribute to a free-flowing volume curated by GLASS founder Lewis Arnold.
Our design brings together the diverse contributions through a considered editorial system across 234 A4 pages. We developed the typography, layouts, pacing, and production details to give the publication its own distinctive visual language.
The finished book features a foil-blocked cased cover, fore-edge print, and section-sewn binding. The result is a fully independent, ad-free, limited-edition publication designed to be as tactile and considered as the content within it.
